Good Buy of the Week – 3rd December 2012

Many would say you’d be mad to buy this car – it’s a Jag, it’s British and you’ll form a very close and expensive relationship with your nearest Jag mechanic. This may be true but think about it in another way – it’s a Jag, it’s British and you’ll look important driving it and maybe just a little bit rock and roll if you dress and act like Pete Doherty. And with a price estimate of $4500 – $5500 it’s around a quarter of the price of a three year old Falcon XR6 with more kms on the clock. So, you’ll stand out from the crowd, be treated like rock royalty and have $15k up your sleeve for maintenance.

This particular car is a 1990 Sovereign, was sold new in New Zealand, has a full service history and has travelled only 81,000kms. You can kinda see where I’m coming from now, can’t you. Auction is this Thursday at Turners Cars Christchurch.
