The Nissan Silvia S13 is a nice looking car that is very popular these days. But Mitsuoka thought it was a little understated and that Nissan’s designers had not leaned in enough to 1930s style that it was so clearly crying out for. So the underpinnings and interior were kept and the rest was sacrificed. The engine is a normally aspirated Silvia 4 pot mated to an automatic transmission. So the Le Seyde is not built for speed. What it is built for is attention, lots and lots of attention. If you feel like you’re moving through life with nobody seeing you, and this is making you unhappy, buy this car and change your life.

However, for all it’s exterior eccentricity, Mitsuoka didn’t extend the madness to the interior. If you are expecting a drinks cabinet, white leather and leopard print, you’ll be disappointed. You could easily slip into thinking you’re driving a 1990s Nissan from behind the wheel, wondering what everyone on the outside is staring at.

This particular Le Seyde is from 1991 and has travelled 73,000kms and is looking for an old extrovert who’s looking for a new ride, or a new extrovert looking for an old ride.
