We're all going on a Summer Holiday... Soon

The idea of sleeping in an old caravan might not appeal right now, what with it being winter and everything. But we all know what comes next, and cruising around the great summer spots of our country with this rig hooked up to your classic tow vehicle will make you the envy of the campgrounds.  This 1974 Lilliput Gazelle is waiting for you to liberate it from this damp yard, surrounded by angry trucks and machinery. Read on...

Vintage Caravans are cool these days. There’s the back to basics feel and the charming looks that will bring back memories of childhood summer holidays for many. Rolling around in the back of your parents Ford Falcon, burning your bare legs on the hot vinyl bench seat, playing I-Spy because there was no infotainment system. Then turn up at the campground, have a fight with your sister and then tuck into Mum’s freshly made Marmite sandwiches. Then spend a week doing jigsaws and playing cards because it’s raining, constantly.

As idyllic as that sounds, you might be thinking, can I still recreate that perfect summer holiday in 2025? Well yes you can. This Ex-Government caravan has been spruced up on the outside, and still has a very tidy, original looking interior. It has a WOF and Rego and just needs your finishing touches to make it the dream caravan you’ve been wanting, even if you didn’t know it.

This very rare Lilliput Gazelle (only 300 were made and few survive today) appears to be in very good condition and will look even better in a campground on a beautiful summer’s day than it does in a muddy yard during a Hamilton winter. It’s available to buy now, too.
