Bargain Buy 10th June, 2013

2008 Subaru Impreza WRX

The WRX has always delivered on the big bang for buck ratio but a new one will still sting you for fifty large. So when a late model 2.5l, 5 speed manual version comes along for around $10k then you sit up and take notice, right? Notice has been served.

This third generation WRX sedan pumps out 195kw of power and will skip to 100kph in 5.3 seconds.  That’s faster than a Porsche Cayman 2.7 and you won’t find one of those in the bargain bin. Sure it’s done a few kms, 184,000 actually, but you didn’t think you’d get a 50,000km example for such a low price surely?  Frankly it’s possibly the cheapest four and a half year old rally bred supercar you’re likely to find anywhere. And that ‘anywhere’ is Turners Cars Whangarei tomorrow (11th June) at 6pm.
