Simple Steps to Buy Now

Find it.

We’re proud as punch to be able to offer you a huge range of Buy Now cars in just about any make, model, colour and mileage configuration you can think of!

To search for cars with a ‘Buy Now’ price, simply use the Advanced Search option in the Search panel on the left hand side of the website and tick the ‘Buy Now’ box. To narrow your search, you can also select from a number of options such as make, model, price range, year, transmission location and so on.

Every one of the resulting listings will include a Buy Now price, auction price estimate, photos of the car and general information about its features and condition.

If you don’t find what you’re after right away, don’t worry – we have new cars coming online every day. Register with us, save your search criteria, and we’ll email you when a matching car becomes available.

Check it.

Once you’ve found a car that fits the bill, we recommend that you take some time to check it out thoroughly. We also offer a number of services that can help you do just that!

Turners Car Price Check

Turners Price Check will supply you with a custom-made, up-to-the-minute report showing an estimated price for the car you’re searching for, based on actual sales of the same or similar cars sold at Turners in the past 12 months.

Vehicle Condition Report

For added peace-of-mind most of our vehicles have a Vehicle Condition Report within their online listing. You can find this on each vehicles details page – simply click the ‘Vehicle Condition Report’ link. The report will also be displayed on the vehicle at the branch.

Remember this is only a guide and conditions apply. If you want to put the car through a more rigorous physical at a reasonable rate, it’s a good idea to contact the branch and book an independent inspection in advance of accepting the Buy Now price, or attending the auction.

It is important to remember that all cars sold by auction are sold on an ‘as is, where is’ basis, which means that the buyer is deemed to have inspected the car and satisfied themselves as to its condition and fitness for purpose.

Fuel Efficiency and Safety

For most cars that are 2000 or newer you will find an indication within their online listing of how safe and fuel efficient they are – these figures are provided by NZTA and Fuel$aver

Test Drives

We strongly encourage you to visit the branch where the car is located and take it for a test drive before buying, or bidding at auction. To arrange a test drive, simply contact the consultant whose name is listed within the car’s online listing.

Remember – to test drive you will need to bring along your Driver’s Licence and register at the branch.

Buy it.

Once you’ve found the perfect car, simply call our consultant to take advantage of our pre-auction Buy Now price. Alternatively, you can register to bid at the auction – bidding can be done in person at the branch where the vehicle is being auctioned, or online via our Turners Live web bidding service.

Pay for it.

Whether you’ve elected to Buy Now or bid at auction, as soon as you’ve bought the car you will need to put down a deposit of $500 or 10% of the purchase price (whichever is greater). You can use eftpos, bank cheque, credit card, or cash to do so. We accept Visa and Mastercard, but please note that all credit card transactions will incur a 1.5% convenience fee. The balance of the sale price is to be paid by 3pm the same day or by 12 noon the following day if you came into the branch after 3pm.

The Buy Now price for each car includes a current WOF, registration, and all on road costs. If the car you buy happens to be a “New Zealand New” car we’ll even throw in a 12 month mechanical warranty to give you total peace of mind.

Please bear in mind that all auction cars are subject to an additional Turners Purchase Protection fee, and that mechanical warranties are able to be purchased in addition to this.
